I can’t believe my son turned 6 this week – its gone so quickly and dosen’t seem like yesterday that I bought him home from the hospital. To keep a record of how my kids really are around each birthday I take them out on their own for half an hour and tell them just to play 🙂 My son loves his football at the moment and running (so this was all he did for 30 minutes) but it was a lovely evening even though it was only 2 degrees. Ive made a promise to keep doing this until they are 16 so they will be seasoned pros by then.
I ♥ Autumn when the leaves start to change colour and its still warm enough to get outside with the kids for the day. We went up to Ashridge last weekend and walked one of the routes we hadnt tried before. The plan was to go 3 miles and we made it to about a mile and the kids started to get grumpy (no change there then). The colours are stunning and I took some photos on the walk round – as you can see though my kids are now far too used to having their photo taken and every time I lift the camera they pose – Im going to have to go covert and start wearing clothes to blend in with the foliage!
I’ve photographed this family quite a few times now and the girls are always great fun and do such a great job smiling. We went up to Boxmoor Trust in Hemel Hempstead and treked around until we found a gorgeous tree to plot up in front of. The mum specifically wanted images to go in her living room and having seen it we were looking for a tree to match :-). They already have loads of photos of the girls taken by me, but none with Dad in and no recent pictures of Mum & Dad on their own. After shaking off their nervousness I think the photos of the 2 of them are lovely. Some of my favourite images below – there are lots because I love the colours in these photos.
How time flies it dosent seem that long ago my daughter was born! On each birthday I like to take my kids out and take photos so I can remember exactly how they were at that age. My daughter chose her own accessories and prop (a balloon we had to go and buy) and we went out for half an hour. I know I am biased but I think she looks gorgeous 🙂

Its got a great butterfly house and the kids can let the butteflys land on them, along with some great outdoor playgrounds and sandpits. We visited for the day with my best friends and their children (my godchildren) and as always I took the camera.
