Very excited to announce I have become a Qualified member of the Guild of Professional Photographers…

I am very excited to announce I have become a Qualified member of The Guild of Professional Photographers (www.photoguild.co.uk) and that I now have letters after my name!! – Nina Mace QGPP I like the sound of that 🙂

Qualification involves rigorous assessment of a portfolio of 20 images and is only awarded to photographers who can evidence that they deliver high quality images, products, and customer service. I am now one of only around 85 people in the country to hold this title.

I also was over the moon to find out that I had won 6 bronze bars, and a very rare Silver bar, in Februarys Image of the month competition.

Since joining the Guild earlier this year I have met a wonderful group of new photographers who range from relative newbies to professionals who have been in the industry from over 20 years and have carved out a real name for themselves. I’m hoping to learn even more over the coming years and am very excitied to be going on my first internatinal photography trip to Paris at the end of September. We will be working with models and make up artists and photographing in the louve and around the eiffel tower…roll on September!!

My panel of 20 qualification images and shown here…

Nina Mace Photography wins its first National Award!

What an exciting month – along with all the announcement of my annual competition and launch of my outdoor photo sessions https://www.ninamacephotography.com/outdoor-dates/ I’ve just found out I’ve won 2 National Awards! I have received Bronze Bars for 2 portraits in the Image of the Month Competition. One was taken at an outdoor session in Basingstoke and the other was taken at a baby photo session in Hemel Hempstead.

The awards have come from The Guild of Photographers who are a highly regarded national photographic body whose members are dedicated to enhancing their skills in the art, craft and profession of photography. Members of the Guild are committed to achieving the highest standards of professionalism for the benefit of their customers. They pledge themselves to delivering the highest standards of customer service and to a journey of continuing professional development.

Lesley Thirsk (Director of the Guild) said that she is “delighted that Nina has achieved this bar, The Guild has very demanding standards when judging photographic competitions. The judging is undertaken by a panel of internationally recognised experts from a variety of photographic backgrounds and all of the points from 9 months of the competition accumulate at the end of the 12 months to ‘Guild Photographer of the Year’. For more details you can visit http://www.photoguild.co.uk/.
