Outdoor family photo session Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
It’s been an incredibly busy month meeting lots of families for woodland photo sessions. I worked with Nick for a short time in the Marketing Team of a local holiday company and he got in touch a couple of months ago to arrange a photo shoot for him, his wife and his gorgeous little girl. These images were taken on Boxmoor Trust land in Hemel Hempstead.
About the Boxmoor Trust: Founded in 1594, The Box Moor Trust manages some 480 acres of agricultural and amenity land for the benefit of the inhabitants of Hemel Hempstead and Bovingdon. A registered charity, the Trust’s mission is to manage the estate in an environmentally sensitive manner for recreation, biodiversity, the provision of diverse opportunities for lifelong learning and to ensure that the enjoyment of such initiatives is accessible to all.

I will be running Group family portrait days in and around Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Harpenden, Reading & Basingstoke in 2014. Dates for the first half of this year are shown below, including some information on the locations themselves. Please note these dates booked very quickly in 2013, so please get in touch early to avoid disappointment. What is included in the outdoor photo session?
Your session will last 1-1.5 hours and will include a variety of posed family and lifestyle shots. Being outdoors means the kids can run free and these often makes the best, natural, portraits.
Cost of the session
The great news is, on these dates, the session fee is reduced by 50%, only costing £25. This session fee covers the shoot time, editing of the images, and access to a password protected gallery. The prints and digital files can then be purchased on top and these range from £29 to £299. See below for more details.
– 1 print up to A4 £29
– 1 image as a high resolution files on CD, includes a free 10 x 8 print £49
– Digital Collection 1 : 10 high resolution images on CD plus a set of matching 6 x 4 inch professional prints £229
– Digital Collection 2 : All high resolution images on CD, plus 5 free A4 professional prints £299
* Please note there is a minimum spend of £100 on prints and digital files.
Boy did I enjoy this session! I’m originally from Tadley and small village (think its a town now) between Reading and Basinsgstoke. My parents still live there so I am back and forth all the time. My dad suggested this location and I met with my friend and her family about an hour before sunset. The light was GORGEOUS and the location was perfect, I will certainly be photographing there again. I love these images, you can see how much this family love one another 🙂
Bump to baby photo session in Hemel Hempstead. Last year I photographed M whilst she was pregnant with her 3rd child and last month I was lucky enough to go back and meet the latest edition!! The last time I had photographed this family I had a really fun time with the older brother and sister and it was lovely to see that they remembered me and they were such a big help getting their new baby brother to smile. Some of my favourite photos are shown above and the final shot is when I turned my back for 2 seconds and he managed to get hold of my lens cap to eat 🙂 Such a great family and I really enjoyed spending time with them again.

This is the second time I have been lucky enough to photograph Julie and her family. This time her mum and dad came along so they could have some photos taken with their grandson. We went along to The Vyne in Basingstoke, a gorgeous National Trust property. We took photos in the ground, outside of the house, and made sure we had time for some cakes and coffee of course. The family is off of Australia soon so I also designed some Christmas Cards to take with them 🙂 I won’t share the designs here as I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise.
