An extended family photo session, Boxmoor

An extended family photo session, Boxmoor

An extended family photo session, Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead.

Louise found my details on Facebook, via the St Albans mums group, and got in touch to ask about a photo session with her boys, her brothers family, and her mum. The idea of the shoot was to get some great images of the grandchildren together, so they could be proudly displayed on her wall at home.

All 4 children were really great, and Louise’s brother did an amazing job at getting the littlest one to giggle by hiding behind me and pulling faces.  Below are a few of my favourite images from the shoot, and I was so pleased to hear back from Louise that she loved the photos. She was also really pleased with the matching professional prints that I like to supply when a client buys all of the digital files as a collection.

If you are interested in the work that the Boxmoor Trust do you can visit them here. On Sunday 19th October they have a really fun Conker Festival where the children can come along and compete to be the conker champion.  They also run a wildlife explorers club which is the junior group of the RSPB, supported by the Box Moor Trust.  It is for children between the ages of 4 and 16 years who are interested in nature and wildlife – from badgers to bumble bees, from flowers to flycatchers! The group meets on the third Saturday of every month with the aim of motivating and educating young people to enjoy wildlife and the countryside so that they understand the importance of preserving the natural environment for future generations.

Home from down under :-)

My friends Gwen and Steve left the UK a few years ago to pursue their dreams of living in Australia. Every year they come back in the Summer and we all meet in a pub for the afternoon to catch up. Gwen had just had her little girl so I was really excited to meet her, and she asked while they were back if I could take some photos. Gwen’s been a huge supporter of my business and I love chatting to her as she also runs her own business (or 2) in Aus. I follow her businesses closely and its exciting to see the incredible headway she has made with her packaging design and branding company https://www.facebook.com/boxerandco.  My favourite image, by a mile, is the out take of Samson poking Steve in the eye…sorry I couldn’t help but include it guys. Missing you already and cant wait to see you again next year xx

Another outdoor photo session in Boxmoor…

My outdoor sessions over the Summer have proven very popular and I met 4 families on one day up at the Boxmoor Trust in Hemel Hempstead. Mum booked the session and asked that I get a photo of the 3 of her children together…she had pre-warned me that she had hardly any images and that  they didn’t like to sit together.  We had a really fun session and in the end got mum to act like a monster and come up behind me to get all 3 of the kids into one shot and it worked 🙂
