I know this family pretty well you can say – I grew up with Rob (and his sister Karen who is one of my best friends) as they lived 5 doors down from me in a village just outside of Basingstoke. I was so pleased that they asked me to come and take photos of their new baby and of course their beloved dog 🙂 Baby A was so cute and basically slept the entire session so most of the work was making sure Rob didn’t mess around – as you can see he managed to be sensible for a whole hour and then at the end had to make a beard with his wife’s hair…some people never change!!
Bump to baby photo session in Hemel Hempstead. Last year I photographed M whilst she was pregnant with her 3rd child and last month I was lucky enough to go back and meet the latest edition!! The last time I had photographed this family I had a really fun time with the older brother and sister and it was lovely to see that they remembered me and they were such a big help getting their new baby brother to smile. Some of my favourite photos are shown above and the final shot is when I turned my back for 2 seconds and he managed to get hold of my lens cap to eat 🙂 Such a great family and I really enjoyed spending time with them again.

I’ve been looking forward to blogging this session. There’s nothing I love more than photographing outdoors on a sunny Autumn day. A&J wanted to document their first pregnancy in a natural way, making sure that all their animals were included in the session too 🙂 We walked right around the Cliveden woodland estate which belongs to the National Trust http://www.clivedenhouse.co.uk and stopped when we found beautiful light. We chatted lots and it was such an enjoyable photo session I hope to be able to photograph this family again. Some of my favourite images from the session are shown below.
My friends Gwen and Steve left the UK a few years ago to pursue their dreams of living in Australia. Every year they come back in the Summer and we all meet in a pub for the afternoon to catch up. Gwen had just had her little girl so I was really excited to meet her, and she asked while they were back if I could take some photos. Gwen’s been a huge supporter of my business and I love chatting to her as she also runs her own business (or 2) in Aus. I follow her businesses closely and its exciting to see the incredible headway she has made with her packaging design and branding company https://www.facebook.com/boxerandco. My favourite image, by a mile, is the out take of Samson poking Steve in the eye…sorry I couldn’t help but include it guys. Missing you already and cant wait to see you again next year xx
Photo shoot with a very cute baby boy in Markyate; Its been a few years since I’ve visited Markyate – I remember they have a very good fish and chip shop there and was pleased to see it was still there when I arrived for my photo shoot:-). Raelene contacted me after seeing some of my images of her friends children that I had taken and asked if I could come to her to take some shots of her son. She did tell me he was generally good natured and smiled a lot and that was so true! We took some photos in his mum and dads room, and then some in his cot. Luckily the sun was out and they had a lovely green space right outside their home so we went to take some photos outdoors too…see how smiley he is in the shots below 🙂
