Each year in the Old Town in Hemel Hempstead we have a spooky Halloween themed evening with monsters, ghouls and fireworks. This year it was superb and I took my camera along to capture some of the action.  My 5 year old wanted to prove “she wasn’t afraid of no ghost” so proceeded to high 5 any goblins or monsters should could find.  Once the fireworks had finished (and we had been roped into buying random items for the kids) the park started to clear but it left this amazingly spooky haze of smoke which was lit up by the car headlights of people leaving.

A really fun evening out and I love that it was all for free – great job Hemel old town!

These images were all taken on my Canon 5diii with my 50 1.4 lens. I pushed my ISO up really high using just the ambient light available and held my breathe when necessary 🙂
