A before and after edit; Girl with guitar

Thanks for stopping by! I wanted to share a before and after of one of the images taken on my outdoor photography workshop in Basingstoke. The girl in the image is a keen musician and brought her guitar along to the shoot so we could integrate it into her shots.

The aim of the edit was to boost the colours, in particular, the red and green as part of my complimentary colour strategy, and to add warmth and light as it was an overcast day.

This image was taken on the Canon 5diii with the 200 2.0L lens hires from Lenses for hire. I shot at the lowest aperture (as she was a still subject) to create as much separation between her and the background as possible.

My editing takes on average 5-10 minutes so can be easily applied to real family photo shoots. If you would like to know more about my editing process, I offer 1-2-1 mentoring sessions or advanced editing group workshops. For all details visit please here .
